WELCOME TO TERM 2!

It's good to see that all the Waterdragons had a fantastic Easter break and that the Easter Bunny found them wherever they were holidaying (even the campers!) Everyone has come back to school well rested and full of beans!

We are very excited to have a new class member this term - a lovely little girl who has been busy making new friends, as well as meeting old ones.

We had a busy start to school last week. We:

  • participated in the Cross Counry
  • talked and learned about ANZAC day
  • saw the 7 Natural Physicains puppet show
  • learned about 'Smart Shopping'
  • started our worm farm
  • and began learning about Space!

Now we are getting ready for our special Mother's Day 'High Tea' Celebration which takes place on Thursday 7th May 9:15 in the classroom.

BUSY BUNNIES

The term has zipped by and we are certainly ready for a good break! For the last 2 weeks we have been talking about Easter and have been very interested in learning about Jesus. We talked about Holy Week and had fun retelling the story of Palm Sunday.

Then the Waterdragons turned into busy bunnies and made lots of Easter craft for their families.

Today, our buddies painted our faces and helped us hop around the school looking for Easter eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny!

GREAT GARDENERS

We made a yummy and healthy salad today with some of the things we have been growing in our garden.

SUPERB SINGING!

The Waterdragons and the Possums sang 2 songs at assembly on Monday. They have been learning great things with Mrs Hatzis during their music lessons and they looked fantastic in their grass skirts!

SAFETY ASSEMBLY!

We were sooooo clever last Wednesday when we taught the WHOLE school how to be safe at assembly! We had been very busy for the last couple of weeks investigating safety issues at school, making costumes for assembly and practising our parts. We taught everyone how to walk safely across a crossing and where the walking areas are in our school. Well done Waterdragons!
